The Mahua Lineage

Antonia, Benjamin and Augustine

The Shipibo have been practicing shamanism for centuries. The songs, or Icaros and methods of healing are passed down from one generation to the next to family members or others close to that family.  The Mahua family lineage is highly renowned and respected throughout the Shipibo people and all throughout the Amazon region.
